Remembering

"Their memories are unique..."

To help establish an enduring connection between a pupil and the person who has died, it is useful to talk about them and share memories. This could be looking at photos and talking about what they remember about the person, or having a multi-sensory memory box. There might be a special place they like to visit to remember the person, such as a garden.

Capturing the pupil’s memories of the person can help to create a valuable resource for their future and help them to maintain a feeling of connection with the person who died.
